The Acre / RS2 LP1502 is a 2-door intelligent controller built on the HID Mercury LP platform, the processing core of an RS2 AccessIT or Acre access control system. It handles access decisions, alarm monitoring, and scheduled operations on board, so doors keep working even if the connection to the host server drops. Because Acre Security acquired RS2 Technologies, this same LP1502 board is fully supported across both RS2 and Acre deployments — making it the correct controller whether you're expanding an existing RS2 system or maintaining one under Acre. Out of the box it natively supports up to 4 readers and 2 doors, expandable across the Mercury bus with downstream interface panels. Eight supervised inputs monitor door contacts, request-to-exit buttons, and alarm points; four Form-C relay outputs drive strikes or signaling. Designed as a direct replacement for the legacy ADC-ACX2, the MR52 provides enhanced Series 3 security with AES-128/256 encrypted communication over the RS-485 bus and an embedded cryptographic memory chip. Reader ports support Wiegand, F/2F, and OSDP Secure Channel protocols, giving you flexibility with both legacy and modern card readers. Input circuits can be individually configured for normally-open or normally-closed operation, with optional end-of-line resistor supervision.
