The LenelS2 LNL-3300 is an Intelligent System Controller (ISC) that serves as the master processing core of a Lenel OnGuard access control system. It makes access decisions, manages alarms, and buffers events on board, so doors keep functioning even if the connection to the OnGuard host is lost. The controller drives a large network of downstream hardware — multiple combinations of Input Control Modules, Output Control Modules, and Card Reader Interface Modules can be configured for up to 64 devices — and stores its cardholder and asset database in 15 MB of on-board flash, with battery-backed, non-volatile storage of 50,000 events. It supports up to 32,000 access levels, up to 16 card formats, 9-digit PIN codes, and biometric template storage. Host communication runs over an on-board 10/100Base-T Ethernet port in single- or dual-path configuration (with RS-485 options), delivering far greater throughput than serial-to-Ethernet converters.
