The Acre / RS2 LP1501 is a PoE+ edge-capable single-door intelligent controller built on the HID Mercury LP platform, serving as the door-level processing core of an RS2 Access It! or Acre access control deployment. Because Acre Security acquired RS2 Technologies, this LP1501 is fully supported across both RS2 Access It! and Acre systems, making it the correct controller whether you are expanding an existing RS2 installation or maintaining one under Acre. It makes access decisions and buffers events on board, so the door keeps working even if the connection to the host is lost. Powered and networked over a single PoE+ cable — no separate power supply or dedicated home run — it installs fast and even mounts at the edge near the door. The dual-reader design controls one opening but supports two readers for in/out (entry/exit) applications, and the panel expands to as many as 17 doors/openings via downstream serial modules and MR62e network door controllers. Two supervised inputs monitor door contact, request-to-exit, or alarm points; two Form-C relay outputs (2 A @ 30 V DC) drive strike control or alarm signaling. Reader ports accept Mag, Wiegand, or RS-485/OSDP signaling, with OSDP Secure Channel, an embedded crypto memory chip, and data-at-rest encryption for cyber-hardened operation.
