The HES 9600-630 is a windstorm-resistant, surface-mounted electric strike for rim exit devices with up to a 3/4" Pullman latch. Every component is encased in a 3/4" thick stainless steel housing that mounts on the face of the frame with no cutting required — place the strike on the frame surface, align it with the exit latchbolt, and install. The base is separate from the decorative cover, making alignment and adjustments easy, and no faceplates are required. Built to exceed the severe forces of ANSI windstorm testing (ANSI/SDI 250.13, ASTM E330, Florida Building Code approval FL# 14307), it delivers 2,000 lbs of static strength and 120 ft-lbs of dynamic impact resistance — well beyond Grade 1 — with endurance tested to 1,000,000 cycles and an outdoor rating (UL 1034) for exterior openings. Operation is field-selectable between fail-secure and fail-safe and between 12 or 24 VDC (500 mA / 250 mA continuous duty), with built-in horizontal adjustability and a non-handed design for metal or wood frames. 630 satin stainless steel finish.
