The HES 4500C-630 is a low-profile, heavy-duty, fire-rated "one-box" electric strike for cylindrical and mortise locks. It's designed for installation in 2" UL 10C fire-rated frames while maintaining 1/2" drywall penetration, and its shallow 1-3/8" body depth suits openings with limited space behind the jamb. Strength comes from a unique keeper-pin locking design that lets the 4500C exceed the ratings of the frame, door, and locking hardware despite its compact profile. As a Complete Pac, it ships with the 4500 strike body plus two interchangeable faceplates, one for cylindrical locks and one for mortise locks to accommodate most cylindrical and mortise latchbolts up to 3/4" throw (without deadbolts), so one part covers a range of lockset applications. It is field-selectable between fail-secure and fail-safe operation, runs on dual 12 or 24 V DC, and is non-handed for metal frames, tested to 1,000,000 cycles.
