The HES 9400-630 is a slim-line, outdoor-rated surface-mounted electric strike designed to electrify rim exit devices with a 1/2" Pullman latch — without cutting the frame. All components are fully encased in a 5/8" thick stainless steel housing, and a smooth decorative cover conceals the mounting screws for a clean, finished appearance. Installation is fast: place the strike on the surface of the frame, align it with the exit latchbolt, and mount it, making it an ideal no-cut solution for retrofits and new construction on both metal and wood frames. A 1/8" spacer plate is included to accommodate varying door gaps. Built to exceed ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 standards, it delivers 1,500 lbs of static holding force and 70 ft-lbs of dynamic strength, tested to 500,000 cycles. It is field-selectable for both fail-secure/fail-safe operation and 12 or 24 V (AC or DC), so a single part covers a wide range of egress and security applications.
