The Genetec SY-MR16IN-S3 (Mercury Security MR16IN-S3) is a high-capacity 16-input monitor module that extends your Genetec Security Center deployment wherever you need to supervise alarm points. Natively supported by Synergis, it connects downstream of your Mercury intelligent controller over a 2-wire RS-485 bus, letting you monitor door contacts, motion detectors, glass-break sensors, panic buttons, and tamper circuits — without running home-run wiring back to the panel. Each of the 16 input circuits is individually configurable as normally open or normally closed, supervised or non-supervised, so a single board adapts to mixed sensor types. Two onboard Form-C relay outputs are programmable for fail-safe or fail-secure operation. As a Series 3 (S3) board, it features Mercury's updated processor with enhanced cybersecurity, making it the current-generation choice for new Synergis installs and the drop-in upgrade path for aging MR16IN Series 2 hardware.
