The Genetec Cloudlink G2 is a network-based access control appliance from Genetec Inc. designed to run Synergis Softwire on-premises. It serves as a central processing unit for Genetec Synergis access control deployments, managing Mercury-based door controllers and reader interfaces across a facility. The Cloudlink G2 connects to your local IP network and communicates with Mercury EP and MP series panels, consolidating door control, event logging, and cardholder management through Genetec Security Center. It is suited for mid-to-large deployments where edge processing is preferred over a dedicated server. The appliance supports standard PoE or external DC power depending on installation configuration and is rack-mountable for data center or IDF closet deployments.
