The AXIS M4318-PLVE is a 12 MP outdoor panoramic mini dome that covers an entire area from a single mounting point, replacing multiple fixed cameras and eliminating blind spots. Its 1.2 mm fixed fisheye lens delivers a 182° field of view at 2992 × 2992 resolution, which the camera dewarps in-hardware into 360° or 180° panoramic, double panorama, corner, corridor, and quad views — multiple view areas with digital PTZ. Built for the outdoors, it carries an IK10 vandal rating and IP66 weatherproofing, and its built-in IR illumination with individually controllable LEDs delivers night vision up to roughly 49 ft (15 m) in complete darkness. The Axis ARTPEC-8 SoC with a dedicated deep learning processing unit runs AXIS Object Analytics on the edge, detecting and classifying humans, vehicles, and vehicle types without a separate analytics server. Lightfinder and Forensic WDR preserve true color and detail in mixed lighting and near-darkness, while Zipstream with H.264/H.265 cuts bandwidth and storage costs. Single-cable PoE simplifies installation for building perimeters, parking areas, entrances, and campus environments.
